Phototherapy – Fotoled
What is it and what is it for?
Photocare is a SORISA equipment designed for the practice of integral facial aesthetic treatments, based on the photoporation technique, in combined action with cosmetics, obtaining a significant improvement in the quality and appearance of the skin.
It is indicated for the treatment of:
- Sagging
- Antiaging/Wrinkles and expression lines
- Pigmentation
- Skin hydration
- Acne
What is Phototherapy?
Photocare achieves a phototherapy effect, whereby the visible light of the LEDs favours cell metabolism and produces an important stimulus of ATP (the main energy molecule of the cell) increasing the energy capacity of the cell, which at the dermal level is manifested by an increase in the synthesis of collagen and elastic fibres. This process increases the repair metabolism of the cells and improves the general condition of the skin.
What are the advantages of tricolour LEDs in skin rejuvenation treatments?
The combination of tricolour LEDs allows a greater selectivity of treatments and the depth at which you want to act: it improves the symptoms of acne, reduces the size and depth of expression lines (wrinkles) and progressively reduces blemishes.
What is the gel mask applied during the session for?
SORISA offers an innovative way of applying an active ingredient to the skin. It is a gel mask with an embedded active ingredient that makes it easier to apply and remove the cosmetic. At Clínica Bajo we have 5 different types of masks to carry out the corresponding treatment in a differentiated way.
What effect does it produce?
Light allows the active ingredients to be conveyed and biostimulate the skin, while the masks will have the effects corresponding to the cosmetics they incorporate.
What does a session consist of?
In our Aesthetic Medicine centre in Tenerife, as in all facial treatments, we begin with a cleansing of the area, then we apply a gel mask and finish with another combined exposure of the gel mask and light.
How long does a session last?
A Photocare session usually lasts around 50 minutes, taking into account the preparation time and all the steps involved in the different programmes.
How many sessions are necessary?
Significant results can be seen in the first few sessions, thanks to the combined action of the techniques described above. In general, treatments of 12 sessions are recommended on average, which will give highly satisfactory results. Depending on each case, cycles of 6 sessions are recommended to maintain the effect.
Is the treatment safe?
As long as it is not applied in any contraindication situation, any Photocare treatment is safe and reliable.
Is the treatment painful?
The treatment is not painful, at most you may feel some heat if you bring your face too close to the treatment screens.
Are there any contraindications to phototherapy treatment?
You should not be treated with photosensitive substances or suffer from diseases such as porphyria for the application of Photocare.
