What is blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is surgery that seeks to rejuvenate the eyelids by remodelling the periocular tissues. It is performed primarily for aesthetic reasons, but in some cases it is performed solely for visual reasons (functional blepharoplasty) as the drooping of the skin of the upper eyelids can cause a reduction in the field of vision.
