Tightening threads
The tensor threads are used for the treatment of skin elasticity of the face, neck and body. They produce a self-induced lifting, i.e. the skin itself generates the elasticity. The threads induce the generation of collagen around the inserted thread without the need for surgery, but also with much more discreet results.
At Clínica Bajo we are specialists in mini-threads in Tenerife. We have incorporated the silhouette soft threads, advanced tensor threads made of biocompatible materials and reabsorbable by the body and their effect is much more durable.
Lifting without surgery
It is performed on an outpatient basis, does not require hospitalisation and only requires local topical anaesthesia.
No rejection or significant side effects.
Simple and quick procedure to apply.
There is no mechanical traction of the threads. There is no need for knotting or suturing.
The degree of patient satisfaction is high.
It can be combined and/or complemented with other aesthetic medicine techniques (fillers, facial mesotherapy with hyaluronic acid and vitamins, etc.).
It is not an aggressive procedure. It has no adverse reactions.
Its function is to stimulate the action of fibroblasts, so its effects will always be natural. There is no risk of producing deformities or changes in the patient’s features.
It is mainly aimed at prevention or patients with slight sagging.
The threads are made of a reabsorbable material that is introduced into the subcutaneous tissue inducing the synthesis of natural collagen. In this way they tighten and redensify the skin.
The effects are noticeable after one month and last approximately 18 months.
What are mini-threads and what are they for?
It is a new method of lifting without surgery or surgery, based on the multiple implantation of mini-threads that form a vectorial network that acts as a support for the tissues.
What is achieved with tensor threads?
The mini-threads cause an immediately noticeable lifting effect while favouring the natural production of collagen.
It stimulates the rejuvenation of the skin, providing vitality, elasticity and a greater luminosity to the face.
It improves the appearance of small wrinkles, nasolabial folds and sagging skin.
What does it consist of? What does the patient feel?
The procedure for the application of tensor threads is relatively simple and quick (15-30 minutes).
It is applied using an outpatient technique, without hospitalisation, and only requires local topical anaesthesia.
The technique consists of the insertion of small needles loaded with silhouette soft threads that remain in the dermis once the needles are removed.
One of the main benefits of the mini-threads is that the patient does not need any recovery time. The patient’s return to daily life is almost immediate and can even apply make-up.
The availability of different needle sizes facilitates the treatment and adaptation to each area and the patient’s characteristics.
At the same time as performing an aesthetic treatment, the patient obtains a therapeutic result in the improvement of the tissues, activation of blood flow and lymphatic channels.
Before starting. Recommendations.
-
If you are taking painkillers, avoid aspirin, as it favours the appearance of haematomas.
-
Avoid coffee, tobacco and stimulants in general.
-
The treatment should be carried out by doctors with specific training in aesthetic medicine.
After treatment
-
Bruising and swelling may occur. These are normal reactions to the procedure and will disappear within two weeks.
-
The area can be gently washed after 4-5 hours, but avoid sudden movements, excessive mouth opening, loud laughter or any other stimulation of the facial muscles for the next few days.
-
Do not massage the area during the first month. Avoid saunas and heat sources.
-
Light make-up may be used. Excessive make-up on the treated area is not recommended.
Results
The silhouette soft tensor threads reduce cutaneous stress and slow down skin ageing, delaying the biological clock.
It stimulates the hypodermis, so that a natural regeneration in the production of collagen and elastin takes place, at the same time accelerating the skin’s metabolism
The regeneration of collagen takes place over time, which helps to improve wrinkles and folds and provides greater elasticity and luminosity to the skin. Improves sagging skin on the face.
There is an improvement in both blood circulation and lymphatic channels. The result is a significant improvement in the complexion and texture of the skin, giving a more rested appearance.
The inserted mini-threads stimulate macrophages, the cells that are most active in eliminating inflammation. Its action on the hypodermis provides a beneficial effect on different skin problems such as eczema, atopic skin, acne, etc. The activation of the blood and lymphatic channels helps to mobilise and eliminate fat deposits.
It stimulates the immune function and improves natural healing.
What does the patient notice?
The tension caused by the implanted threads together with the oedema produced by the trauma of the procedure causes a visible lifting effect from the first moment.
The threads begin to work immediately. From the third week onwards the real effects start to become visible.
The point of maximum effect is reached after 2 to 3 months.
They take 6 to 8 months to be reabsorbed. During this time their presence continues to stimulate the action of fibroblasts, increasing the production of collagen and elastin. This means that the effects are prolonged over time once the threads have disappeared.
If necessary, the procedure can be repeated by implanting new threads until the desired effect is achieved.
Touch-ups can be performed at any time.
